Several dozen people gathered Sunday in downtown West Palm Beach to protest the confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the United States Supreme Court.

The event was hosted by the Women's March of Palm Beach County chapter.

The group has hosted similar events in the past.

The Facebook event page said, "We will stand united in the face of this new reality, because we know none of us are free until all of us are free."

Protesters chanted sayings like "our bodies, our rights for the women, stand and fight."

Sunday’s protest march is in response to Judge Brett Kavanaugh being confirmed to the United States Supreme court on Saturday. It was organized by the Women’s March of Palm Beach County chapter and was a chance for residents in the area to express their feelings.

"We're not all crazies, we are not all fanatics. It's your next door neighbor, your sister, your cousin that we are people who need to be taken as full-fledged members of this society," said protester Mary Toy.

With each homemade sign and shirt, the group's desire is they are being heard loud clear.

"Because we care about the country. We care about our morals and values," said protester Patricia Evelyn.

The group ended the march telling others to get out and vote in the upcoming election Nov. 6.
