PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — A 24-year-old man was arrested in South Carolina in connection with a fatal shooting July Fourth in Palm Beach County.
The victim, Arturo Arriga, was shot after an altercation shortly before 7 p.m. at the Casa Del Monte Mobile Home Park located at 17th Drive South in suburban West Palm Beach.
Arriga was taken to the hospital but later died.
On Sunday, the suspected gunman, Erick Lopez, was taken into custody in Pickens County, South Carolina, by the U.S. Marshals with the assistance of PBSO Tactical Unit.
He was booked into the Pickens County Detention Center on charges of first-degree murder and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
