Beaches and golf courses to remain open in Palm Beach County

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Palm Beach County officials provided an update of local actions pertaining to coronavirus on Sunday.

Palm Beach County Mayor Dave Kerner was be joined by County Administrator Verdenia Baker, Florida Health – Palm Beach County Director Dr. Alina Alonso, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue Chief Reginald Duren, School District of Palm Beach County Superintendent Donald Fennoy, Supervisor of Elections Wendy Link, Emergency Management Director Bill Johnson and other local officials.

Drive-through testing for coronvirus will behing Monday. The nonprofit FoundCare will schedule appointments for the testing over the phone. Residents must call before to make an appointment at 561-967-0365. If you meet the criteria for testing, you will be given an appointment and patient code.

The phone line will be manned for screening and appointments weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Officials say that while public schools will continue to be closed, beach and golf courses will remain open. Tuesday's Primary voting will also continue on schedule.
