WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — West Palm Beach said Friday a "juvenile suspect" is being investigated in the recent theft of a rare monkey at the Palm Beach Zoo.

According to Sgt. David Lefont, help from the community and media helped provide them leads a few hours after Kali, a 12-year-old Goeldi's monkey, was taken this month.

Lefont said Friday, "detectives continue to investigate this case and hope to develop additional evidence to file charges and bring Kali’s captor to justice."

Kali was recovered in good condition and returned to the zoo on Feb. 13, but it has been unclear how police found the primate.
