WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — For Roy Bowling, it's about strategy.

"I can tell you the top ten stations that have the cheapest gas," Bowling told WPTV.

That's because it's kind of his job to know.

Bowling is a professional chauffeur and when gas prices are down he said business is good.

"Seeing that I go through about six tanks a week, it's like getting a pay raise and I didn't escalate my prices when the price of gas went up so now I don't have to bring it back down," Bowling said.

In West Palm Beach prices are as low as $1.99 a gallon.

Economists said that gas prices are down due to weaknesses in the stock market and concerns about oversupply.

But over in Lake Worth at Brick Oven Pizza, Marcin Lyczkowski said his employees aren't complaining.

"My employees come into work more happy when they see prices are down," Lyczkowski said, adding that 80 percent of his business is delivery. So lower gas prices mean more drivers.

"I didn't see the $1.99 a long time," Lyczkowski said. "They are getting more money in their pocket."

According to AAA, the demand for gas is expected to drop throughout the month of January.
