A 16-year-old boy has been charged as an adult in connection with the stabbing of a student last month at Royal Palm Beach High School.
The stabbing occurred May 25 inside a boys' bathroom at the school.
Jose Perez Decorcho of Royal Palm Beach faces charges of attempted first-degree murder, carrying a concealed weapon during the commission of a felony and possession of a weapon on school grounds.
Decorcho, who police said used a pocketknife in the attack, was immediately apprehended after the incident.
He was booked Tuesday night into the Palm Beach County Jail.
Decorcho's attorney, WPTV legal analyst Michelle Suskauer, said he will appear in court Monday.
After the attack, the victim was transported in stable condition by Trauma Hawk to St. Mary's Medical Center.
