Authorities say a Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office employee accidentally shot himself Thursday morning.
PBSO says it happened as its gun range at 21500 State Road 80 near Twenty Mile Bend.
The department said it was a conducting 'new hire' firearms qualification class at the time.
The employee, who was not identified, shot himself in the right outer leg, PBSO said.
The sheriff's office said the person is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
