Palm Beach County commissioners on Tuesday are expected to accept close to $1 million in federal grant money to help protect elections from hackers.

The county is set to receive $909,513.26 of the more than $15 million in federal grant money allocated to the state of Florida.
The money is earmarked to strengthen the implementation of cybersecurity for election systems and other election enhancements.
Supervisor of Elections Susan Bucher said she will use the money for updated mini iPads with the latest security software to help prevent hackers.
