The Palm Beach County School District is scheduled to give an update Wednesday on how they will keep students safe when they head back to the classroom in less than two weeks.

The school district will host a workshop this afternoon to update the board on where they stand with security.
That includes information on hiring school police officers, agreements with other local law enforcement agencies, single point of entry projects and other security improvements.
The district says every school is officially covered with a school police officer or other sworn law enforcement officer.
Several new school police officers will also be sworn in today.
The district already had police officers on the middle and high school campuses, but needed to hire dozens of additional officers for the elementary schools to comply with the Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Act.
