A Jupiter man was killed Monday evening after a two-vehicle crash in Loxahatchee Groves.
The wreck happened at 6:15 p.m. at the intersection of Okeechobee Boulevard and D Road.
A Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office report said a 2014 Toyota sport-utility vehicle was traveling west on Okeechobee Boulevard.
A 2004 Ford pickup truck, driven by German Beltran Cota Delgado, 48, of Jupiter, was traveling eastbound on Okeechobee Boulevard.
PBSO said as the two vehicles neared each other, the driver of the Toyota drove partially into the eastbound lane, and a violent crash occurred.
The left front of each vehicle impacted into each other.
As the wreck ensued, both vehicles rotated to their final resting positions. Delgado died on scene.
The driver of the Toyota suffered minor injuries. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. No drugs or alcohol were involved.
The sheriff’s office report says no charges are pending.
