The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash Monday morning on Southern Boulevard near Lion Country Safari Road.
The crash, between a semi and a van, was reported at 7:43 a.m.
The truck was eastbound on Southern and slowed to turn when the van, traveling behind it, struck the semi, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Firefighters say they had to use extrication tools on the van and when they gained access to the interior discovered the driver, who was deceased.
The driver has not yet been identified.
Troopers say debris from the van struck a Palm Tran bus. Three people were transported to area hospitals for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, Fire Rescue said.
