LAKE WORTH BEACH, Fla. — Tent City in John Prince Park is now closed, as Palm Beach County moved dozens of homeless people to a shelter Friday.

The city invested nearly 9 million dollars in a homeless shelter at a former county stockade off of Southern Boulevard.

The Parks Department told WPTV everyone has been offered shelter space and wraparound service.

A Parks and Recreation personnel will be back to the park at sundown to make sure no one is staying.
