The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said one person was shot Monday morning during a home invasion robbery in Lake Worth.
The shooting occurred around 6 a.m. in the 900 block of J Street.
The victim was taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center for treatment. Deputies said, at last check, the victim was in critical condition and recovering from surgery.
Three others were seen photographed by investigators outside the house.
Neighbor Sophia told us in Spanish that she lives in fear. " It makes me feel with fright," she said. "We go on the streets with fear."
She's even more afraid now after learning about her neighbor.
"I did not see what happened but we are terrorized to go on the streets and to see what is happening," Sophia told us.
Deputies are seeking tips. They said there is limited suspect information available, but they are still on the run.
