LAKE WORTH BEACH, Fla. — A Lake Worth Beach woman faces a charge of attempted first-degree murder after deputies said she stabbed her boyfriend New Year's Day.
Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Teri Barbera said the incident happened just before 2 a.m. Friday in the 1200 block of South Federal Hwy.
When deputies arrived, they found a man with stab wounds. He was taken to the hospital and expected to survive.
Belinda Jean Baptiste, 42, was arrested in the attack and made her first appearance in court Saturday morning.
A judge issued a $50,000 bond and no contact with the victim.
The motive for the stabbing has not been released.
