The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said a 21-year-old female inmate found unresponsive Monday morning later died at an area hospital.
At 3:30 a.m., PBSO said jail staff was notified of the unresponsive inmate, identified as Andrea Nicole Alvira.
Medical personnel responded and transported Alvira to Wellington Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
PBSO said Alvira was booked into the jail on April 2, 2014 on charges of second-degree murder.
An autopsy was performed on her body. Toxicology is pending.
