PALM SPRINGS, Fla. — A serious crash involving a Palm Tran bus and at least four vehicles in Palm Springs sent eight people to the hospital on Friday afternoon, officials say.
According to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, the chain-reaction wreck happened around 3 p.m. at S. Congress Ave. and 10th Ave. N.
Officials said eight people were taken to the hospital, and one of them was a trauma alert patient.
One vehicle was smashed up so badly, crews had to use extrication tools to get a person out, officials said.
The crash caused major delays around the intersection, but the scene is clearing.
No other details, including what caused the wreck, have been released.
