It may have been one of the warmest winters on the history of the planet, but winter is still winter — meaning giraffes at the Brookfield Zoo near Chicago needed to stay indoors.
But spring is just around the corner: Daylight savings begins on Sunday, the NCAA Tournament kicks off next week and the Midwest and East Coast have been treated to some beautiful warm weather days this week. As a result, the zoo gave its tower of giraffes some recess time on Monday.
Two-year-old Potoka seemed extra excited to be back in the great outdoors, and even did a little jig for the zoo-goers that crowded Brookfield's giraffe pen. Watch the video above for more.
We feel you, Potoka.
