PHILADELPHIA, PA-- A FedEx driver was shot and robbed while making a delivery in Philadelphia Tuesday night.

Investigators say the driver was approached by the robber as he walked up to a home around 7 p-m.

The robber opened fire and shot the driver in the abdomen.

Police say the driver was armed with his own weapon, returned fire, and struck the robber several times.

The injured robber managed to escape with multiple stolen items.
