CONTRA COSTA, Calif. — A California driver attempted to evade the brutal Bay Area morning commute with a little heavenly help.
According to a Tuesday tweet from the California Highway Patrol, a driver dressed a mannequin in a Los Angeles Angels baseball shirt and wig and placed it in the front seat of a vehicle.
Troopers appropriately nicknamed the dummy “Angel” and said she “didn’t have much of personality as a passenger” when they met her.
Law enforcement said the mannequin’s chauffeur was issued a ticket for the carpool violation.
Some Twitter users, no doubt Giants and Athletics fans, seemed fascinated by the dummy’s baseball team choice, asking that "Angel" be issued an extra ticket for being a Los Angeles fan.
#Carpool Cheater. Meet Angel. Angel didn’t have much of a personality as a passenger when we met her this morning during our Carpool Enforcement on #hwy4 She just oddly stared at us while we issued her chauffeur a ticket for carpool violation. #nicetry #mannequin @KTVU @GMA pic.twitter.com/4gAJlTqjcK
