EARLIER:

Fort Pierce police are investigating a home invasion and shooting of a 26-year-old man Tuesday evening.

Police said around 8:30 p.m. two men broke into a duplex, located in the 1400 block of Havana Ave., and shot one man inside.

Officials said it appears to be a targeted robbery.

The victim, identified as Vladimir Juels, was taken to the hospital.

Investigators said they are trying to figure out the connection between Juels and the suspects.

"It looks like this may have been targeted, particularly for one reason or another, as opposed to being a random attack or burglary of some kind, so we're trying to find out what that connection is.  We're looking for the suspects," said Ed Cunningham with Fort Pierce police.

Investigators are interviewing witnesses who were at the home at the time of the shooting.

The suspects, who are both at large, are described as two heavy set, bald black men wearing light shirts and dark pants.
