WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — The National Hurricane Center (NHC) is monitoring a tropical wave that will move off the African coast this weekend.
It currently has a 30% chance of development in the next week.

Early models show the storm will develop and strengthen as it moves across the Atlantic. However, it's too early to tell where the system will go.
Environmental conditions could support some slow development of this system over the weekend and into early next week while the wave moves toward the west or west-northwest at 10 to 15 mph over the eastern and central tropical Atlantic.
