We’re keeping an eye on the southwestern Gulf of America, where a broad area of low pressure could develop over the next few days. Any development is expected to be slow as the system drifts over the warm Gulf waters. Right now, the National Hurricane Center has chances of development near zero over the next 48 hours, but increasing to about 20% over the next seven days.
