WPTV, Red Cross partner to help Hurricane Dorian victims

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — WPTV NewsChannel 5 has partnered with the American Red Cross to help victims of Hurricane Dorian.

On Friday, Sept. 13 from 4 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., WPTV will host a phone bank to collect monetary donations.

Call 1-800-345-WPTV (9788) and specify that you want to donate to victims in the Bahamas.

You can donate anytime to the American Red Cross' Hurricane Dorian Relief Efforts by clicking here.

HURRICANE WATCH: An announcement that hurricane conditions (sustained winds of 74 mph or higher) are possible somewhere within the specified coastal area. A hurricane watch is issued 48 hours in advance of the anticipated onset of tropical-storm-force winds.

HURRICANE WARNING: An announcement that hurricane conditions (sustained winds of 74 mph or higher) are expected somewhere within the specified coastal area. A hurricane warning is issued 36 hours in advance of the anticipated onset of tropical-storm-force winds.
