BOCA RATON, Fla. — All northbound lanes on Florida's Turnpike have reopened at the Glades Road exit Tuesday morning.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a fatal crash just after 4:30 a.m. closed all of the northbound lanes for several hours. They eventually reopened just before 11 a.m.

FHP said a sedan was traveling northbound on the Turnpike in the left lane.

A 29-year-old pedestrian who had just been involved in a traffic crash had exited his vehicle, and the sedan crashed into that man.

The pedestrian, whose name has not been released, was pronounced deceased on scene.
