Austin Harrouff made a brief court appearance Wednesday afternoon.
Harrouff is accused of attacking and killing a Martin County couple.
A grand jury upgraded charges against Harrouff Tuesday.
He now faces two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the deaths of Michelle Karen Mishcon, 53, and her husband John Stevens III, 59, of Hobe Sound who were killed on Aug. 15.
"The court does find probable cause to hold you on two counts of first degree murder with a weapon," a judge said. He then denied bond on both counts.
