Jay Ajayi leads Dolphins to second straight win

Posted

The Miami Dolphins made it two wins in a row with their 28-25 comeback victory over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

Trailing by 11 points in the third quarter, Miami went on a 22-8 run the rest of the way for the win. Damien Williams capped off the comeback with a rushing touchdown with under four minutes to play. His rushing counterpart Jay Ajayi was exceptional for a second week in a row. Ajay rushed for 214 yards on 29 carries. Ajayi also had a TD of his own and has now rushed for over 200 yards in back-to-back games.

The Dolphins are trying to turn their season around after a rough start. The two consecutive victories have improved Miami's record to 3-4. The Dolphins are also an impressive 3-1 at home thus far this year, which includes a win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Ryan Tannehill was dependable in this one and did not turn the ball over. This marked the second week in a row that Tannehill kept the ball in Miami's hands. Interceptions were a problem for the quarterback this season, but Tannehill has been accurate with his passes as of late. Tannehill ended up 15-25 on his tries for 204 yards.

In the fourth quarter, Miami put the game away with a third down pass from Tannehill. Kenny Stills came down with the pass and ran it into the end zone for a 66-yard reception.

Defensively, Miami got to Buffalo's quarterback four times. Picking up sacks were Ndamukong Suh, Cameron Wake and Jason Jones. Wake had two sacks himself including one during Buffalo's final drive.

Miami will have a bye week before resuming its schedule on November 6th against the New York Jets.
