MIAMI (AP) -- Chris Bosh's season is over.
The Miami Heat say Bosh has been ruled out for the remainder of the postseason, the announcement coming Wednesday afternoon. Bosh has not played since the All-Star break after a blood clot was discovered in his left leg.
It was the second consecutive season that Bosh's season came to an end at the break because of a clotting issue.
The Heat and Bosh made the joint announcement one day after the National Basketball Players Association urged Bosh and the team to resolve his status. Bosh had not made any comment about his health status since releasing a statement in March saying the clot in his leg had dissipated.
However, it's unknown if he has dealt with any other clots or if he remains on blood thinners.
