Will Ferrell And Molly Shannon will provide live commentary for the royal wedding

Will Ferrell and Molly Shannon aren’t official royal correspondents, but their characters Cord Hosenbeck and Tish Cattigan … well, they’re not official royal correspondents either. Still, they may provide some of the best (and most hilarious) coverage of the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Ferrell and Shannon are hosting “The Royal Wedding Life With Cord and Tish,” produced by Funny or Die. The TV special will air on HBO on the day of the big wedding — Saturday, May 19 — at 7:30 a.m. ET. But don’t worry. It will be on again later that night at 9:45 p.m. ET in the event you don’t want to wake up that early.

Ferrell and Shannon have teamed up once before as co-anchors of the Rose Parade, so they’re no strangers to this type of gig. Even if you didn’t see that past pairing, however, you can still get a sense of their chemistry together. A promotional trailer has been released, and trust us — if the show is anything like this two-minute clip, you won’t want to want to miss a second of it. Because Cord and Tish make quite the pair!

Ferrell’s character, Cord, is looking forward to the coverage, and to the event itself.

“This wedding is going to be a blast,” he said in a statement. “There will be more luxury packed into that church than all the Bed, Bath & Beyonds combined.”

As for the official royal wedding festivities, the event will be televised live on networks such as NBC and PBS beginning as early as 4:30 a.m.
