DELRAY BEACH, Fla. — Ramen Lab Eatery in Delray Beach is offering dumpling-making classes. They are billed as a fun and affordable activity for friends, couples, and families.
The classes happen on the last Wednesday of each month and cost $49.
Guests will become pros at wrapping, cooking, and enjoying delicious dumplings all while sipping on perfectly paired sakes.
Louis Grayson, the owner of Ramen Lab Eatery, said his 80-year-old grandmother Julie makes about 1000 dumplings with her friends every day. Grayson said they tried to buy the group a machine but they insist they do it faster and better and won't use the contraption. That idea of dumpling-making socialization is what their classes are all about.
"You get off your phones as you're using your hands and you're feeling everything and [it's] not a usual thing that you do with the family. So [it's]something unique," said Grasyon.
"The whole point is to bring everybody together into one community, one table, you're doing something together, you're having a conversation that you can talk to a random person or even communicate with family and just having a loving time," Grayson said.
