DELRAY BEACH, Fla. — A sustainable seafood restaurant is navigating uncharted waters but staying optimistic about its plans to open in Delray Beach this fall.

Clique Hospitality has a combined 350 positions to fill over the next year with immediate jobs available at Lionfish.

The sea-to-table restaurant has been nationally recognized for its sustainable seafood concept and will feature one of Florida's most invasive species –- Lionfish.

Clique Hospitality, originally headquartered in San Diego, is the restaurant group behind Lionfish and has two additional large-scale projects under construction with hopes of bolstering South Florida's hospitality industry.

Many key staff members relocated to Palm Beach County last summer and are eager to meet potential employees.

"We're looking to hire 350 employees," said Craig O'Keefe, managing partner for Clique Hospitality. "Everything from managers to social media and marketing directors, line cooks, chefs, bussers, dishwashers, servers. Pretty much everything in the food and beverage business."

Craig O'Keefe, managing partner for Clique Hospitality, says Lionfish in Delray Beach is looking to fill 350 positions.

Lionfish was originally scheduled to open in the spring, but the pandemic delayed the grand opening to this fall.

However, the restaurant group is already making its mark on the Delray Beach food scene as the new owners of Johnnie Brown’s, a live entertainment venue on Atlantic Avenue that was established in 2009.

Clique Hospitality continues to move forward with its plan to open a food hall and boutique hotel next year.

"I've been with the company for 11 years," said O'Keefe. "For us, it's all about culture and growth. If you have a great personality and a great attitude about life, we're going to have a spot for you."

The Delray Beach Market will host 35 food vendors in a 60,000-square-foot space.

The Ray Hotel is also under construction and will feature a rooftop restaurant and bar.
