The largest cruise ship ever built set sail yesterday, as the ship launched from Saint-Nazaire, France for a trial run. If all goes well, the Harmony of the Seas will open to the public on May 26.

The boat is essentially a city on its own as it has room for more than 2,000 crew members and 6,000 passengers. The ship weighs 226,000 tons, and is nearly a quarter-mile long.

Among the amenities, the ship includes a full-sized basketball court, an ice skating rink, surf simulators and a three-story water slide. There are also 20 dining options on the ship and 10 whirlpools. There is even a shopping center on the ship.

The ship will be stationed in Europe for much of the summer before coming to the United States and the Western Atlantic in November.
