(NBC) - Crews rescuing survivors of Hurricane Florence in North Carolina also pulled a pack of puppies from the floodwaters Tuesday.

The crews in Spring Lake, North Carolina, worked alongside members of the U.S. military to ferry the dogs and their owner to safety.

Emergency responders have been out in force since the storm hit last week.

Many parts of North Carolina are flooded and continue to suffer from the devastating rain from the hurricane.

President Trump is visiting the state Wednesday to see the impacts of Florence.
