VAN, Turkey — (NBC) - A police diver braved some frigid waters in Turkey to save a puppy from a frozen lake this week.
Video shows the officer navigating an icy lake in the eastern province of Van to rescue the pup on Wednesday.
The dog, which suffered from hypothermia, was wrapped in towels and taken to a veterinary clinic after receiving CPR.
Municipality officials said the puppy was receiving the necessary treatment for her condition and was expected to fully recover.
