Millions of people on the island are in desperate need of food, water and medical treatment.

For the crew on board a Hawker 800 private plane that left Tuesday, they know it's a tough mission.

Aboard were Emmanuel Alex and Esteban Quintero, who are on a mission of mercy.

They are veterans of trips to aid those in need, but this is different and personal for Quintero, who is traveling with his cousin to help the people of Puerto Rico.

Helping everyone in need is a top priority.

When they landed at the Isla Grande Airport, it was all hands on deck.

"We realize that at a certain point that it's a service, you feel a little call to do it," said Emmanuel Alex.

Puerto Rico residents hope more help is coming.

"We're blessed to be able to help people out," said Scott Lewis with Eagles Wings Foundation.

Lewis has scheduled four flights in the coming days to go to Puerto Rico and rescue those in need.
