PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — Port St. Lucie police said they are investigating a home invasion that occurred Friday afternoon.

The incident occurred on the 1000 block of Southwest Coleman Avenue. Police said they responded to the home shortly after 2 p.m. for an "in progress call."

The preliminary investigation revealed that two males forced their way into the home, confronted a woman who was home alone, brandished a firearm, and demanded money. The two individuals left the home, with an undisclosed amount of cash, in a maroon SUV.

The woman was unharmed during the incident and that this is an active and ongoing investigation.

Now, police need the public's help in identifying two individuals, police said, are responsible the crime. Both males were wearing all black, including hoodies and masks covering their faces, with white gloves on their hands, and slides on their feet.

Detectives believe this was not a random act and that this specific home was targeted. Police said if you see these individuals, do not approach them as they may be armed.
