MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. — A downed power line sparked a brush fire near a residential community in Martin County Thursday morning.
Fire rescue crews and sheriff's deputies responded to the fire in Foxwood Estates near SW Meadowlark Circle, off Pratt Whitney Road.
The fire was about one acre in size and between two structures, and crews extinguished the fire before it reached any homes.
According to Martin County Fire Rescue, no one was evacuated, no injuries were reported and the fire is now under control.

The Florida Forestry Service has plowed a line around the scorched area to prevent flames from spreading further.
