INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, Fla. — A man was hit and killed by a freight train in Indian River County Sunday morning.
The crash happened at the 77th Street Railroad crossing just West of Old Dixie Highway around 7:20 a.m.
The Indian River County Sheriff's Office says they are investigating the cause of the crash.
Many crossings in the area will be closed due to the length of the train during the investigation.
