EARLIER STORY:
The intersection of SW. Martin Highway and SW. Citrus Drive is closed due to a crash involving a crane and a smart car.
According to a deputy on scene, the smart car pulled in front of the crane.
The two people inside the crane were not injured. One passenger in the smart car was flown to a local hospital as a Trauma Alert.
Authorities ask to use caution and seek an alternate route if traveling in the area.
