FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) -- A crane collapsed at a construction site in Florida, injuring a worker.

Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Greg May tells news outlets the incident happened around 9 a.m. near Fort Lauderdale Beach.

Television video showed the collapsed crane.

May says the agency's Tactical Rescue Team freed the man by lifting the broken crane.

The man was taken to a hospital. The crane's owner, Tom Krips, told the South Florida Sun Sentinel the worker suffered two broken toes.
