Today's the day to show your love for manatees. March 30, 2016 is Manatee Appreciation Day!
Beloved by many Floridians, Wednesday is devoted to raising awareness for the loveable aquatic mammals.
Currently listed as endangered, the federal government is considering changing their status to "threatened."
Manatees are often injured in collisions with boats, so awareness is fundamental for their survival.
The latest official count of manatees shows there are 6,250 of the marine mammals in Florida.
