Wawa is on a hiring kick.
The convenience retail chain is planning to hire up to 1,000 new employees across Florida in the first quarter of 2019. All 160 Wawa stores in the state are hiring to fill customer-service positions.
“As we look to fill these positions with people who have a strong passion for serving others, we’re looking for individuals who want to join our team for Florida’s busy tourist season as well those who might be interested in the start of a fulfilling career at Wawa," said Elizabeth Moore, Manager of Talent Acquisition & Diversity at Wawa.
Select Wawa stores across Florida will be hosting open house hiring events on Wednesday, Jan.16.
One of the events is occurring at the Wawa store located at 1771 S. Congress Ave. in Palm Springs.
Candidates can learn about Wawa, explore career opportunities and receive a brief interview.
The hiring events will last from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Anyone interested in attending is encourage to apply online in advance at www.wawa.com .
