The surveillance video from Nov. 13, 2018, shows an encounter between Nikolas Cruz and Sgt. Raymond Beltran.

Cruz is seen in the video appearing to taunt the sergeant and then violently rushing toward him.

The two wrestled on the ground before Cruz was eventually subdued and put in handcuffs.

Cruz was then charged with attempted aggravated battery of a law enforcement officer with a deadly weapon, battery on a law enforcement officer, depriving an officer of means of protection and attempted use of a self-defense weapon -- the sergeant's stun gun.

Cruz has pleaded not guilty to those charges, as well as 17 murder and 17 attempted murder charges from the February 2018 school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

WSVN reported that Beltran is no longer guarding Cruz or any other inmates after he was arrested last March on a DUI charge in Washington state while on official business for the Broward County Sheriff's Office.
