Police in Miramar, Florida, have released body camera video from an officer who was injured in a hit and run early Friday morning.
Officials say the officer spotted a driver who he had seen driving recklessly a short time earlier.
The officer was questioning the driver and told him to sit on the bumper of his squad car, but then the suspect ran to his vehicle and started to drive away.
The unidentified officer was able to open the driver's door, but the car is heard speeding off as the officer falls to the ground.
That officer was rushed to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Meantime authorities were able to locate and arrest the suspect identified as 20-year old Johnny Lee Morris Jr.
He's been charged with aggravated battery of a law enforcement officer, leaving the scene of an accident with injuries and providing a false name to law enforcement.
