MIAMI, Fla. — Two Transportation Security Administration officers have been suspended after officials a noose was found at Miami International Airport.
In a statement Tuesday, TSA officials said the "offensive display" was found in a non-public baggage screening area at the airport and was immediately reported by officers to TSA management.
"The display was immediately removed and an investigation was launched into who was responsible for the unacceptable behavior," the statement read.
The two officers were placed on administrative leave while the investigation was ongoing, officials said. The identities of the officers weren't released.
"TSA does not tolerate racist or offensive behavior and those found responsible will be held accountable for their actions," the agency's statement read.
