Train P600 heading northbound derailed south of Cypress Creek Station near McNab Road, according to a Tri-Rail spokesperson.

40 passengers were on board. 1 person was injured.

Tri-Rail is setting up a bus bridge between the Cypress Creek & Deerfield Beach stations.

It advises riders to seek alternative routes because it’s going to take hours to fix.

East and westbound traffic on Cypress Creek Road, McNab Road and Third Street is closed from Powerline Road to Dixie Highway due to the Tri-Rail train derailment, according to the Broward County Sheriff's Office.
It says drivers should seek alternate routes.
