(NBC 6, NBC NEWSCHANNEL) An 8-foot alligator was caught Thursday night after it was spotted in a parking lot in South Florida.
A security guard at a water treatment facility in Key Biscayne called 911 after spotting the large gator.
"About 8:53 p.m., I saw a big alligator just appear right there," guard Jean Rousseau told NBC 6 Miami."He might have come from the water behind the trees looking for food."
Trappers arrived on the scene a short time later and captured the animal.
It's expected to be relocated to the Florida Everglades.
