SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla.-- A Florida deputy experienced some harrowing moments during a recent traffic stop.
It was early Saturday morning when Seminole County Deputy Molly Smith was helping a driver whose car was stopped in the middle lane of a road.
While she stood at the driver's door another vehicle came speeding by. It ripped off the door of the stopped car and narrowly missed Smith.
The driver of the moving vehicle, 25-year-old Logan Fielder, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Authorities say the deputy saved herself from serious injuries because she pushed herself against the stopped vehicle.
