MIAMI-- A student was arrested and now faces serious consequences, for attempting to take down his school's principal, by performing a wrestling move!

Cellphone video appears to show the student, 18-year-old Gianna Sosa, attempt to wrap his arms around Humberto Miret's neck Wednesday at Miami Southridge Senior High School

The principal stops him and places him in a chokehold and hauls him off to a nearby office.

That's when Sosa began rolling, recording himself yelling at the principal as he calls for back up. And shortly after, he was arrested.

Thursday morning, he later stood before a judge, facing two charges, including battery on a school official.

During the court appearance attorneys had to explain to the judge what the wrestling move was.

"This has gone way too far for something that I don't think he planned it. I don't think those were his intentions because he did tell all of his, he was just going to hug the principal, he wasn't going to harm him in any way, Sosa's sister Camila said.

"My brother is trying to go to the Army you know, he's trying to do something with his life. He's not trying to be out here selling drugs and stuff like that you know... and he's trying to do something with his life and this guy is practically trying to ruin that for him," Sosa's brother Mike said.

A judge set Sosa's bond at $5,000 and he was ordered to stay away from the principal.
