Families are now reunited with their stolen property after Lee County Sheriff's Deputies say a smartwatch helped lead them straight to the loot.

On February 9 a man called LCSO saying his home was burglarized. He started to look around his bedroom for anything missing and noticed his Samsung S3 Watch was stolen.

Thanks to the phone's signal that gives out its global position, the man was able to track his watch down at a home on Dora Circle in Lehigh Acres.  A search of the home by authorities led to the discovery of stolen property from recent burglaries in Lehigh Acres.

Deputies were able to return 25 items back to their owners, including an Xbox 360 that was given back to a 4-year-old boy.

4 In Your Corner talked to an owner of the smartphone. She says she thinks it's awesome that the watch was able to help the families that were victims.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office has posted pictures on its Facebookof the recovered items with their rightful owners.

No one has been arrested in this case. If you have any information, please reach out to the Lee County Sheriff's Office or call Crime Stoppers, 1-800-780-TIPS.
