A small, but very feisty, alligator kept deputies in Sarasota County busy Sunday.

According to a post on the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, deputies were called about a gator in a Publix parking lot.
Video shows the reptile hiding under a trailer before deputies were able to hook it around the neck.
Despite the size of the little guy, the gator put up quite a fight before it was captured.
In just a couple hours, the video had already been shared more than 220 times.
This is a good reminder that no matter where you are in Florida, even if it’s a Publix parking lot, you should be on lookout for alligators!
